REXFORD W. MOFFETT '32
Inducted: 1988
A leader both on and off the basketball court, rex Moffett was the top
vote getter on the Associated Press all-Buckeye Conference team as well as
an all-state performer as a senior at DePauw. Moffett was considered one
of the best offensive and defensive basketball players in the state. He
also was an end on the 1931 football team which captured the Indiana
secondary championship. He was the president of the "D" Association as
well as the Blue Key honorary society. Upon graduation in 1932, Moffett
received the Walker Cup. He worked for two years with Goodyear before
beginning a 35-year career with the Orrville (Ohio) Milk Co. Moffett
served as general manager for eight years. He also served on the Board of
Trustees of Dunlap Memorial Hospital for 15 years and as a director of the
First National Bank of Orrville-Dalton.
