ANDREW J. RAMSAY '30

Inducted: 1986

Ramsey was an outstanding sprinter and he had the records to prove it. He set DePauw records in the 100-yard dash (:09.7) and the 220-yard dash (:21.6). The former records still stands and the 220-mark was good for 25 years. Ramsey set the Little State record in both events and ran on the 440-yard relay team which won the Ohio State Relays in a time of :42.8. In those same relays he also ran on the record-setting DePauw mile relay team whose time was 3:23.5 Dr. Ramsay is an emeritus professor at Jefferson University and lives in Medford Lakes, NJ.
