Richard E. Schulte '69 Inducted: 1999 Dick Schulte is an Indianapolis native, where he earned all-county football honors while playing for North Central High School. Joining DePauw’s football team, he was known as one of the most aggressive nose guards in the school’s history. He had speed, size and strength, combined with his instinctive football savvy and natural quickness. He was twice selected as DePauw’s most aggressive player. In his senior year he was elected co-captain of the squad by his teammates and was their choice for most valuable player. He was selected to the all-ICC second team and was named most valuable lineman in the Indiana Collegiate Conference. A member of Beta Theta Pi, Schulte majored in English. He is a realtor-developer in the Indianapolis area and is currently president of Richard Schulte & Associates, Inc.
