DR. RAYMOND F. "DUTCH" STRUCK '26

Inducted: 1986

Dutch Struck came to DePauw from Centralia, IL. He earned varsity letters in basketball (he was chosen an all-state guard), football and baseball and captained the football team his senior year. President of the student body, he graduated with high honors. After 16 years in the public schools as a teacher and coach in Illinois and Indiana, he joined Hanover College where he served as athletic director, chairman of the PE department, and coach at one time or another of every sport except wrestling from 1946-1968. He was inducted into Indiana's Football Hall of Fame in 1974 and into its Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977, a rare double recognition.
