Indianapolis captures both Little State team championships
The University of Indianapolis claimed both the men's and women's titles at the 2001 Little State Championships. The women's track athlete of the meet was Indianapolis' Tonita Satterfield with wins in both the 100 and 200-meter dash. Cari Roush of Indianapolis earned the field event athlete of the meet with first place in the hammer and shot put. 

On the men's side, Taylor's Gabriel Rop was the track athlete of the meet with with wins in the 800, 1500 and 5000-meter run. Steve Ercegovac was the field events athlete of the meet with firsts in the shot put and discus. 

University of Indianapolis head coach Giles Davis was the men's and women's coach of the meet.

DePauw will also serve as host of the 97th Annual Little State Championships on April 13, 2002.
