Stoffregen named SCAC Coach of the Year
Kori Stoffregen was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to their first conference title
in their three years in the SCAC.
Fruth finishes 66th at NCAA Championships
Eric Fruth placed 66th at the NCAA Division III Championships hosted by
Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. Fruth finished with a time of
26:08.3.

Fruth qualifies for NCAA Championships; Tigers finished sixth
Eric Fruth finished 15th in 26:28 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional at
Hanover and qualified for next week's NCAA Championships. As a team the
Tigers finished in sixth place. Other scorers
included Brandon Emkes (45th/27:26), Matt DeLeon (57th/27:37), Torrey
Teats (58th/27:39), Erik Albers (69th/27:48).

Tigers win SCAC title with record score
DePauw captured the 2000 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
championship hosted by Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and
Eric Fruth was the top individual as he finished the 8,000 meters in
27:13.10. Also earning all-SCAC honors were Brandon Emkes (4th/28:01.80),
Torrey Teats (5th/28:06.50), Erik Albers (6th/28:06.50), Matt DeLeon
(7th/28:17.30) and Josh Lamb (11th/28:32.10). The Tigers finished with 23
points to runner-up Centre's 65. The 23 points is the lowest team total in
the 10-year history of the meet.
DePauw wins fourth invitational of season as they capture DePauw
Invitational
Eric Fruth finished second and Brandon Emkes was fourth as the Tigers won
an invitational for the fourth time this season.

21st-ranked Tigers place 10th at Washington University
Brandon Emkes finished 46th among the 313 runners in 25:39.9 at the
All-Missouri/Border States Championship hosted by Washington University.
Eric Fruth finished 54th in 25:43.2. The Tigers finished 10th out of 30
teams and were fourth amongst Division III schools.

Division III poll
The Tigers are ranked 21st in the Division III coaches poll released
on October 3.
Tigers win third
meet of season as they capture Earlham Inviational
DePauw won an invitational for the third time this season as they
edged runner-up Anderson, 49-50. Brandon Emkes paced the Tigers with a
fifth-place finish in 27:37. Erik Albers was eighth at 27:49, Torrey Teats
placed ninth in 27:50 and Matt DeLeon was 10th in 27:51. Brian Thompson
rounded out the DePauw scorers with a 18th-place showing in 28:13.

18th in national poll
The Tigers are ranked 18th in Division III in the latest poll
released. DePauw has won two meets and finished third at the Little State.

Tigers place eighth at Indiana
Intercollegiates and third among non Division I school
Led by Eric Fruth's 34th place finish in 24:23.76, the Tigers finished
eighth amongst the 25 teams at the Indiana Intercollegiates and third
among the non-Division I schools. Brandon Emkes was 60th in 25:07.30 and
Dennis Flanagan was 65th in 25:15.48.

DePauw captures Hanover
Invitational
The Tigers used five individual finishes in the top 23 to easily take
first at the 21-team Hanover
Invitational. The Tigers finished with 68
points to runner-up Hope College's 102. Eric Fruth finished sixth in
28:13.40 and Brandon Emkes was ninth in 28:27.70.

Tigers win Wabash
Hokum-Karem
The Tigers finished with 11 points to win the annual Hokum-Karem meet
at Wabash College. The University of Indianapolis was second with 12
points and Wabash was third with 37.
