Walsh earns awards from GCAA
For the second consecutive year, Alex Walsh was named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America. To earn the distinction an individual must be a junior or senior, average at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and record at least a 79 stroke average. Walsh also was named to the Ping All-Great Lakes Region team.

DePauw places sixth at SCAC Championships
The Tigers shot a two-round 640 to place sixth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Hulman Links Course in Terre Haute. Oglethorpe won with a 588. Brian Gooch shot a 159 to tie for 19th, while Matt Arient and Jay Burkhardt each finished with a 160 to tie for 21st. Alex Walsh tied for 25th with a 161 and Jason Schwerdt tied for 34th with a 166. Tigers finish seventh at Wooster Invitational
DePauw shot a two-round 650 to finish seventh at the Wooster Invitational. Alex Walsh tied for 21st with a 160, while Brian Gooch tied for 30th with a 163. Matt Arient and Jay Burkhardt each shot 164 to tie for 33rd, while Jason Schwerdt was 47th with a 169.  RESULTS

DePauw finishes sixth at Denison Invitational
Alex Walsh shot a two-round 150 to tie for fourth and lead DePauw to a sixth-place finish at the Denison Spring Invitational. Jay Burkhardt shot a 156 followed by Jason Schwerdt at 158, Matt Arient at 161 and Brian Gooch at 162. COMPLETE RESULTS

Tigers tie for fourth at Kenyon Invitational
DePauw shot a two-round 641 to tie for fourth at the Kenyon College Spring Invitational at the Apple Valley Golf Course in Howard, Ohio. Walsh College won with a 620. The Tigers were led by Alex Walsh with a 155 which was good for a tie for seventh. Matt Arient shot a 157 to tie for 12th. DePauw is second at Big Four Classic
DePauw shot a 323 to finish second to Butler's 304 at the Big Four Classic at Crooked Stick. Jay Burkhardt paced the Tigers with a 78 followed by Alex Walsh at 80, Matt Arient at 82, Brian Gooch with an 83 and Jason Schwerdt at 86.

Tigers finish 13th at Camp LeJeune
DePauw shot a three-round 909 to place 13th at the Camp LeJeune Intercollegiate in North Carolina. Alex Walsh shot a 224 including a 70 in the second round to lead the Tigers. Other DePauw finishers included Brian Gooch (227), Jay Burkhardt (229), Matt Arient (229) and Jason Schwerdt (241).

DePauw finishes fall season with fourth-place finish at own tournament
Led by Brian Gooch with a 154, Michael Bergerson with a 155 and Jay Burkhardt at 156, the Tigers placed fourth with a two-round 622 at the DePauw Small College Classic at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Gosport. Jason Schwerdt fired a 158 and Alex Walsh added a 161. Playing as individuals, Andrew Graw shot a 152 followed by David Hafley at 169 and David Storms at 170. Tigers finish second at Manchester Invitational
DePauw shot a two-round 631 to finish second at the Manchester Invitational. Alex Walsh led the Tigers with a 154 followed by Michael Bergerson and Brian Gooch at 157 each, Jay Burkhardt with 163 and Jason Schwerdt at 168.

DePauw rallies to win Franklin Invitational; Walsh earns medalist honors
After finishing fourth after the first round, DePauw shot a second-round 295 to win the Franklin Fall Invitational by 13 strokes. The Tigers totaled a 6-4 for the two days. Alex Walsh was the medalist with a 139 including a 67 in the first round. Jay Burkhardt placed in a tie for sixth with a 153 followed by Mike Bergerson who tied for 12th with a 155. Brian Gooch finished with a 162 and Jason Schwerdt shot a 166. Playing as individuals, David Hafley and Andrew Graw each shot a 167, while David Storms shot 171.

Tigers place 10th at Denison Fall Classic
Alex Walsh led the Tigers with a 153 to finish tied for 15th at the Denison Fall Classic. DePauw placed 10th as a team with a two-round 630. Jason Schwerdt shot a 155 followed by Jay Burkhardt and Michael Bergerson at 164 each and Brian Gooch at 165.

DePauw finishes third at Indiana Wesleyan Invitational
Led by Michael Bergerson and Brian Gooch who each shot 74, the Tigers finished with a 302 and in third place at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational. Jason Schwerdt followed with a 75, while Jay Burkhardt shot a 79 and Alex Walsh an 80. David Hafley  and Andrew Graw played as individuals and shot 82 and 86, respectively.

Tigers place 12th at Indianapolis; Schwerdt shoots 72
DePauw totaled a 318 to finish 12th at the University of Indianapolis Invitational at The Links at Heartland Crossing Golf Course. Jay Burkhardt led the Tigers with a 78 followed by Alex Walsh and Michael Bergerson with a 79. Brian Gooch shot an 82 and Andrew Graw followed with an 84. Playing as individuals, Jason Schwerdt finished fourth with a 72 and David Hafley shot an 80.
