Cohen, Foster named first team all-region
DePauw junior J.R. Foster and sophomore Andy Cohen have been named to
the all-Great Lakes Region first team by the
National
Soccer Coaches Association of America. Foster led the Tigers with
19 goals and 45 points and was third with seven assists, while Cohen
was second with 13 goals, and second with 32 points. Each was also a
first team all-SCAC choice.
Five Tigers earn
all-SCAC honors
Five DePauw players earned all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
honors in voting by the conference's 10 head coaches. Included in that
were a league-high three selections on the first team. Andy Cohen, J.R.
Foster and Derron Harris were named to the first team, while Brian
Missey and Bryce Skeeters earned second team honors.
Tigers fall to Ohio Wesleyan in Great Lakes Region semifinals
DePauw's season came to an end in Delaware, Ohio, as the 15th-ranked
Tigers fell at top-ranked Ohio Wesleyan by a 2-0 score. The host
Battling Bishops scored one goal in each half for the win. Ohio
Wesleyan outshot the Tigers 23-11, but DePauw totaled four corners to
the Bishops' three. DePauw finished the season with 15-4 to equal the
school record for victories. Ohio Wesleyan improved to 22-0.

DePauw blanks Webster 4-0 in NCAA first round game
The Tigers scored four second-half goals to take a 4-0 win over
visiting Webster University in the first round of the NCAA Division
III Championship. The Tigers, 15-3, advance to take on Ohio Wesleyan
on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ohio Wesleyan.

Tigers earn trip to NCAA Division III Championship
DePauw has earned a spot in the 44-team NCAA Division III Championship
and will host Webster University on Wednesday afternoon in a
first-round game at 1 p.m. The winner will take on
Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, November 11, in the semifinals of the Great
Lakes Regional in Delaware, Ohio, at 2 p.m. Tickets prices are $4 for
adults and $2 for students with ID. They will be available at the
gate. The appearance is the Tigers' second
in three years and their eighth overall.

14th-ranked Tigers finish regular season with 4-1 win at
Rose-Hulman
The Tigers scored three second-half goals to break open a 1-1 game and
take a 4-1 victory at Rose-Hulman. J.R. Foster scored twice with
Derron Harris and Richie Schreiner each adding one in the win. Foster
raised his season goal total to 19 which ranks fourth in school
history. His 45 points this year ranks second. |

DePauw moved up to 14th in the latest Division III poll by the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Tigers, 13-3 on
the season, wrap up the regular season at Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
Missey named SCAC Player of the Week
Junior goalkeeper Brian Missey has been named Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his performance in road
wins over Sewanee and Centre. In those two wins he recorded 19 saves
and allowed just one goal as the Tigers defeated two regionally-ranked
teams. Missey posted a 1-0 shutout of Sewanee on Friday and held
Centre to just one goal in the 2-1 victory on Sunday. For the
season, he is third in the league in goals against average at 1.06.
DePauw defeats Centre 2-1
Trailing 1-0 in the second half, the Tigers came back to take a 2-1
Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Centre College. Brendan
Landry tied the contest early in the second half before Andy Cohen scored the
game-winner with on an assist from J.R. Foster. The
Tigers are now 13-3 on the year and 6-2 in the SCAC.

Tigers improve to 12-3 with 1-0 win at Sewanee
Andy Cohen's goal in the 83rd minute with an assist from Bryce
Skeeters lifted DePauw to a 1-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference win at Sewanee. Brian Missey posted the shutout in goal
which was the Tigers' seventh of the season. DePauw improved to 12-3
overall and 5-2 in the SCAC.

DePauw posted its sixth shutout and improved to 11-3 on the season
with a 3-0 win over visiting Anderson University. Andy Cohen, Clint
Capps and J.R. Foster scored for the Tigers with Brian Missey and Wes
Molyneaux sharing the shutout in goal. Foster's goal was his 17th of
the season which equals the fourth most by a DePauw player in a
season.

11th-ranked DePauw falls at fifth-ranked Trinity, 6-2
DePauw, ranked 11th in Division III, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the
first 32 minutes at fifth-ranked Trinity on goals by Richie Schreiner
and J.R. Foster, but the hosts rallied to cut
the margin to 2-1 with a goal in the 39th minute. Trinity tied the
match at 2-2 in the 54th minute on Josh Card's first of three
second-half goals and took the lead for good just 3:26 later. Box

Tigers come from two goals down to top Pirates in
overtime
J.R. Foster's goal 12 minutes into the first overtime gave 11th-ranked
DePauw a 3-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over host
Southwestern. The Pirates' Sal Lopez scored twice in the opening 20:33
of the game before Corbin Sutton cut the margin in half early in the
second half and Ryan Winkler forced the overtime with a goal with
just 2:37 left in regulation. DePauw outshot Southwestern 22-15. The
Tigers, 10-2 overall and 4-1 in the SCAC, face fifth-ranked Trinity on
Sunday.

After a pair of weekend victories, the Tigers have moved up three
spots to a tie for 11th in the latest Division III rankings from the

14th-ranked Tigers beat Oglethorpe 7-1
The Tigers expanded upon a 2-1 halftime lead with five goals in the
second half and three in the first 18 minutes to take a 7-1 Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Oglethorpe. Richie
Schreiner scored one goal and assisted on three others, while J.R.
Foster scored twice and added an assist in the win that lifted
DePauw's overall record to 9-2 and their SCAC mark to 3-1.

Millsaps, 5-0
J.R. Foster scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the
14th-ranked Tigers to a 5-0 win over visiting Millsaps. The Tigers
took a 2-0 halftime advantage on Foster's first goal and Andy Cohen's
penalty kick. Richie Schreiner scored just 43 seconds into the second
half to make it 3-0. Foster tallied his second goal at 56:09 and Bryce
Skeeters closed the scoring 21 seconds later. Brian Missey posted the
shutout for the 8-2 (2-1 SCAC) Tigers.

Principia 3-0
Andy Cohen scored on an assist from Brendan Landry in the 39th minute
to give the Tigers all they needed in a 3-0 shutout win at Principia.
The Tigers scored an own goal in the first half and Ryan Winkler added
a score in the second half to complete the scoring. Brian Missey and
Wes Molyneaux shared the shutout in goal for the 7-2 Tigers.

notches 300th win in 6-1 victory at Hanover
DePauw head coach Page Cotton earned his 300th career victory at
Hanover as the 25th-ranked Tigers topped the Panthers 6-1. J.R. Foster
and Andy Cohen each scored two goals with Brendan Landry and Kenneth
Cochran adding single scores. Foster assisted on two others with
Cohen, Derron Harris and Richie Schreiner each adding one.
Cotton has compiled a 300-152-26 record over his 32 seasons for a .65 winning percentage. Additionally, he has led the Tigers to six NCAA tournaments and 18 consecutive winning seasons. Over the last 15 seasons his teams have won over 74 percent of their contests.

season's first week of play. Foster had a big weekend in the Tigers'
two wins as he scored three times in a 7-1 win over Albion and once in
a 3-2 victory over Kalamazoo.

Trailing 2-1 in the second half, the Tigers scored twice in a
10-minute span to take a 3-2 win over Kalamazoo. J.R. Foster scored
his fourth goal of the weekend just three minutes into the contest.
Kalamazoo tied the score later in the half and took the lead in the
first eight minutes of the second half. Bryce Skeeters tied the game
just 10 second after the Hornets' goal and Kenneth Cochran added the
game-winner in the 63rd minute.

According to a preseason poll of the SCAC coaches, the Tigers are
predicted to finish in a tie for fourth in this season's conference
race. Trinity is the favorite followed by Rhodes and Centre. DePauw
and Sewanee each received 67 points. J.R. Foster was the lone DePauw
player selected to the preseason all-conference team.
