Moch earns honorable mention all-America
on one-meter board
Junior diver Nate Moch finished 14th in one-meter diving at the NCAA
Division III Championships at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, to earn
honorable mention all-America for the second consecutive year. Moch, a three-time
Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Diver of the Year, earned
honorable mention all-America last year on both the one- and three-meter
boards. This year he placed 18th in three-meter competition. As a team,
DePauw finished tied for 48th.

DePauw finishes regular season with 7-5
mark after loss to Wabash; Moch awaits word on NCAA qualification
The Tigers dropped a 186-113 decision to Wabash at the Erdmann
Natatorium to finish the season with a 7-5 dual meet record. Nate Moch
notched another NCAA qualifying mark in diving and Mike Mioduski won the
100 free.

2002 SCAC Championships
Tigers place second at SCAC Championship; Moch named SCAC Diver of
the Year for third straight year
Junior Nate Moch was named the SCAC Male Diver of the Year for the
third time in as many years and the Tigers placed second at the 2002
SCAC Championships.

Tigers in second after first day of SCAC Championships
Behind Nate Moch's third SCAC three-meter diving title in as many
years, the Tigers finished the first day of competition at the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in second place. The Tigers
totaled 249.5 points to Trinity's 294. Moch, the SCAC Male Diver of the
Year each of his first two seasons, won with 451.8 points. DePauw's 200
free relay of Evan Kennel, Benjamin Betz, Mike Mioduski and Kyle
Danforth finished third in 1:27.67 to earn all-conference honors.

DePauw improves to 7-4 on the season after win over Engineers
The Tigers defeated Rose-Hulman 155-64 to improve to 7-4 on
the season.

Tigers place third at Washington Invitational
DePauw placed third at the Washington (Mo.) Invitational with 616.5
points. Missouri-Rolla won with 1,125.5 points followed by Washington
with 720.

DePauw sweeps Illinois Wesleyan and Vincennes to improve to 6-4 on
the season; Moch qualifies for nationals on three-meter board
The Tigers took first in three individual swimming events, on both
boards and in one relay on the way to a 182-54 win over Illinois
Wesleyan and a 138-98 victory over Vincennes. todd Darlington won the
200 free in 1:50.30, while Kyle Danforth took first in the 50 free
(22.85) and Peter Beckette won the 100 breast in 1:04.30. Mike Seay won
one-meter diving with a score of 181.20 and Nate Moch qualified for the
NCAA Championships in three-meter with a 497.48 total. The 200 medley
relay of Andrew Cornett, Mike Mioduski, Kyle Danforth and Todd
Darlington won in 1:42.79.

Tigers take top three places on each board at Wabash Diving
Invitational
DePauw swept the top three spots on both the one- and three-meter
boards at the Wabash Invitational. In one-meter competition, Nate Moch
won with 394.55 points followed by Bret Schoff with 390.65 and Wilson
Villafana with 294.55. On the three-meter board, Schoff won with 412.35
points, while Moch placed second with 383.55 and Villafana was third
with 365.8.
DePauw evens season mark at 4-4 with weekend sweep
The Tigers defeated visiting Centre 152-32 and Millikin 155-32 to
even their season record at 4-4.

DePauw finished third at its own invitational with 587.5 points.
Washington University successfully defended its 2000 title with a total
of 852 points.

Schoff wins three-meter diving with national qualifying point total
Bret Schoff totaled 478.7 points to win the three-meter diving
competition at the Wabash Diving Invitational. That total eclipsed the
Division III qualifying standard of 444. He can advance to the Division
III Championships with one more qualifying performance this season.
Wilson Villafana placed fourth with 341.75 points. Villafana placed
fourth on the one-meter board with 347.45 points and Schoff was fifth
with 335.9.
Tigers finish third at Wabash Invitational
The Tigers totaled 406.5 points and finished third in the Wabash
Invitational at IUPUI.

Evan Kennel picked up a win in the 100 backstroke as did Bret Schoff
in 3-meter diving in the Tigers' 141-89 loss to visiting Wheaton.

The Tigers won four events in a 137-99 loss at Hope. Earning first
place finishes for the Tigers were Todd Darlington (1000 free,
10:53.29), Brett Schoff (1-meter diving, 221.65; 3-meter diving,
218.50), Peter Beckete (200 breast, 2:22.27).
Tigers drop season opener
Host Kalamazoo finished first in
nine events on the way to a 153-52 win over the Tigers. Earning first
place finishes for DePauw were Mike Seay (1-meter diving), Mike
Whitesell (100 fly), Evan Kennel (100 back) and Brett Schoff (3-meter
diving).
