Tigers fall to Washington (Mo.) in NCAA first-round match
Precisely one week after defeating 11th-ranked Washington (Mo.) in a
closely contested match in Greencastle, 16th-ranked DePauw dropped a 4-1
decision to the Bears in the first round of the NCAA Division III
Championship at Kalamazoo, Mich. Washington advances to face Kalamazoo in
the round of 16. DePauw will now await word on possible individual
qualification in the NCAA singles and doubles championships which begin on
May 20 in Santa Cruz, Calif.

DePauw earns spot in 27-team NCAA Division III Championship field
The Tigers earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis
Championship and will face Washington (Mo.) on Friday, May 10 at
Kalamazoo, Mich., at 2:30 p.m. EDT. The winner of that match will face the winner of Friday's
Denison-Kalamazoo match on Saturday.

regular season with 4-3 loss at Vincennes
DePauw dropped a 4-3 decision at Vincennes University and finished the
regular season with a 16-8 mark. The Tigers take on Washington (Mo.) in
the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship on Friday, May 10,
at Kalamazoo, Mich.

matches on the way to a 5-2 win over 11th-ranked Washington (Mo.) at the
Blackstock Courts. The Tigers improved to 16-7 on the season, while

the Central Region.

Conference Championship play with a 7-0 win over Centre. The Tigers
advance to the semifinals of the winners bracket where they will face

The Tigers defeated Coe and Luther in matches played at Coe
by identical 6-1 scores to improve to 11-5 on the season.

DePauw took two of three doubles matches to earn the double
point and then swept all six singles matches for the 7-0 win at Rose-Hulman.

Championship
The Tigers placed third at the GLCA Championship. They opened
play with a
4-0 win over Wabash before
falling to Kenyon in the semifinals, 4-3.
They then
defeated Denison in the third-place
match, 4-3. DePauw is 8-5 on the season.
Tigers conclude spring trip with
loss to Division II Missouri-St. Louis
DePauw dropped to 6-4 on the season with a
6-3 loss to Missouri-St. Louis in its final
match at Hilton Head Island. The Tigers' match at Emory was canceled due
to rain.

Fisk, Kuresman finish
eighth at ITA Small College Championships
The doubles team of Scott Fisk
and Marshall Kuresman placed eighth in the Division III portion of the
Intercollegiate Tennis Association Small College Championships in Plano,
Texas.They fell to David Ruttenberg and Rifat Perahya of Tufts, 8-4, in
the first round. The pair then lost to Jose Lejarraaga and Seth Morgan of
Washington (Md.), 8-2, and Colin Ryan and Dan Williford of Rochester, 8-4.
DePauw doubles team wins ITA regional; moves on to national tourney
DePauw's fifth-seeded
team of Scott Fisk and Marshall Kuresman topped Kalamazoo's Matt Harding
and Michael Malvitz 7-6 (1), 3-6, 6-4 to win the Intercollegiate Tennis
Association Central Region Championship. The pair moves on to the national
tournament which takes place October 18-21 at Collin County Community
College in McKinney, Texas.
The national tournament features Division II, III, NAIA and junior college regional champions. Fisk and Kuresman will battle for a chance to win the Division III title and the opportunity to compete in the "Super Bowl" which pits winners from each of the four levels. ITA Regional Page with results
