University's Alvo takes singles title; DePauw's Fisk and Kuresman win

Twelfth-seeded Brian Alvo of Washington (Mo.) University defeated
second-seed Ben Crandall of Principia 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the ITA
Central Region Small College Tournament. In doubles play, DePauw's
fifth-seeded team of Scott Fisk and Marshall Kuresman topped Kalamazoo's
Matt Harding and Michael Malvitz 7-6 (1), 3-6, 6-4.
The champions advance to the ITA National Small College Championships presented by the USTA and hosted by Collin County Community College in McKinney, Texas. The tournament takes place from October 18-21. More details
