DePauw men and women win second straight SCAC title.

Seniors post season's bests
Seniors Colin Smith and Tim Sutton recorded season's best performances in the discus and 800-meter run, respectively, at the Billy Hayes Invitational at Indiana University. Smith improved upon his NCAA provisional distance in the discus with a throw of 50.00 meters (164 feet) to finish eighth. Sutton placed 23rd in the 800 meters in a time of 1:55.34.

Fruth leads Tigers at North Central
Eric Fruth was among four DePauw runners competing at the Keeler Invitational at north Central College and finished 15th in the 5,000 meters in a season's-best time of 15:01.20. Matt DeLeon was 41st in the 5K in 15:57 and Erik Albers placed 42nd in 15:57.61. Simon Flory ran a season's best in the steeplechase in 9:33.66 to finish 20th.

Smith earns sixth all-America award
Senior Colin Smith earned his sixth all-America award overall and his third in indoor competition as he finished sixth in the 35-pound weight throw at the NCAA Division III Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Smith's best throw covered 57.25 feet or 17.38 meters. Results
