October 18, 2009, San Antonio, Texas — Fifth-ranked Trinity broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half as the host and fifth-ranked Tigers topped DePauw, 2-1.
DePauw dropped to 5-6-4 overall and 3-2-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, while Trinity improved to 11-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Brianna Young gave Trinity a 1-0 lead at 8:48 on Jordan Azar's assist before DePauw's Alex Ehr knotted the contest at 1-1 at 53:40. Abigail Loar provided the game-winning goal at 56:50 on another assist from Azar.
Trinity held a 25-4 edge in shots and a 10-0 margin in corners. Lauren Palfrey totaled three saves and Caroline Kerr had seven as the two split time in goal. Katie Garrett recorded the shutout for Trinity with two saves.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, October 27, when it hosts Rose-Hulman.
