October 30, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw's Emelie Johansson (left) scored just 7:30 into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest and it would be all the Tigers needed in a 1-0 win over visiting Millsaps in a game played through a driving rain.
DePauw improved to 7-6-4 overall and 4-2-2 in the SCAC, while the Majors dropped to 7-6-3 overall and 1-4-2 in conference play.
The Tigers held a 9-3 edge in shots and led, 3-1, in corners. Lauren Palfrey recorded the shutout with three saves for DePauw, while Millsaps' Sarah Nelin had one save.
DePauw hosts Birmingham-Southern at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
