November 1, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Birmingham-Southern's Linda Amaya scored just 6:48 into the contest as the Panthers defeated DePauw by a 1-0 score in women's soccer action at Boswell Field. The Tigers dropped to 7-7-4, while the Panthers improved to 11-7.
DePauw held an 11-10 advantage in shots and a 2-1 margin in corners. DePauw's Lauren Palfrey and Caroline Kerr split time in goal and each recorded two saves. Ruth Hanks posted the shutout for Birmingham-Southern and totaled five saves.
The Tigers wrap up the season on Saturday, November 7, when they host Centre College at 7:30 p.m.
