September 21, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 5-1 for its best start since 2001 and moved to 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a 5-1 win over visiting Hendrix. The Warriors dropped to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Sarah Riffle and Beth Seegers each scored two goals, while Kimberly Trainor added the other. Meredith Ellis, Carolyn Mueller, Luis Myavec and Lizzy Funk each had one assist in the win. Hendrix's lone goal came with less than one minute left off the stick of Katie Schaiff with Savannah Saunders adding the assist.
DePauw outshot Hendrix 21-43 and held a 7-3 edge in corners.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 27, when they host Centre at 11 a.m.
