October 3, 2008, Jackson, Miss. - DePauw improved to 3-5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference following a 2-0 win at Millsaps. The Majors dropped to 9-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Stephanie Patton gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead at the 8:23 mark with an unassisted goal before Emelie Johansson wrapped up the scoring with just 2:54 remaining with an unassisted goal.
Millsaps outshot DePauw 10-8, while the Tigers held an 8-3 edge in corners. Brooke Shipley recorded seven saves in posting the shutout and Elizabeth Sooby had four for the Majors.
DePauw returns to action on Sunday at Birmingham-Southern.
