Searena Murphy gave the hosts a 1-0 lead just 42 seconds into the contest before Jacki Ponder tied the game at 14:44. Katy Phillips gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead at 18:28 and Alicia Plotky forced the overtime at 64:54 with an assist from Emmy Hollis.
The Panthers outshot the Tigers 31-7 and held a 6-2 edge in corners. DePauw's Brooke Shipley recorded nine saves, while Ruth Hanks had two for the Panthers.
DePauw returns to action on Friday, October 10, when it hosts Hendrix at 6 p.m.
