October 12, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 7-2 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and stayed at the top of conference standings following a 2-0 win over visiting Rhodes. The Lynx dropped to 8-3 overall and 2-3 in the SCAC.
Katie Sowar delivered the Tigers' first goal at 13:41 on Kimberly Trainor's assist, while Sarah Riffle added an insurance score at 46:17.
DePauw outshot Rhodes 20-5 and held a 7-4 advanage in corners. Liz Attewell finished with four saves in posting her first shutout of the season. Valerie Clark had 12 saves for the Lynx and Meghan Cullen added four.
The Tigers host St. Vincent at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 17.
