November 1, 2008, Wheaton, Ill. - Host Wheaton scored three goals in the opening 3:10 and never looked back on the way to a 7-2 victory over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 5-10-2 on the season, while the Thunder improved to 16-3-1.
Wheaton's Jaime Orewiler scored a first-half hat trick which helped the Thunder to a 6-0 halftime lead.
DePauw's Kristen McMahon scored on a Katy Phillips assist at 70:55, while Emelie Johansson added the second score at 72:08 on Abby Gerwin's assist.
Wheaton outshot DePauw 27-15, while DePauw held a 7-4 edge in corners. Christy Fillenwarth recorded 11 saves for the Tigers.
DePauw hosts Southwestern on Friday at 8 p.m.
