November 7, 2008, Greencastle, Ind. - Southwestern's Casey Grier scored once in each half and led the Pirates to a 2-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 5-11-2 overall and 3-5 in the SCAC, while Southwestern improved to 13-3-1 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
Grier's first score came just nine minutes into the contest with her insurance goal coming at 53:14.
The Pirates outshot DePauw 9-3 and and held a 2-0 edge in corners. DePauw's Lauren Palfrey totaled one save in goal, while Southwestern's Eryn Snyder and Katie Romero shared the shutout.
DePauw wraps up the 2008 season on Sunday when it hosts Trinity at 1 p.m.
