November 29, 2008, San Antonio, Texas - Tenth-ranked DePauw wrapped up play at the San Antonio Shootout with a 90-52 win over Schreiner and improved to 3-2. Schreiner dropped to 0-2 with the loss.
DePauw trailed just once at 2-0 and used a 24-5 run to take its largest lead at 49-20 on the way to a 49-22 halftime advantage. The Mountaineers trimmed the margin to 19 with a 10-2 stretch at the start of the second half, but the Tigers scored 12 straight and pushed the lead over 30.
Cassie Pruzin led the Tigers with 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals. Emily Marshall followed with 14 points with Cary Werntz totaling 11 and Danielle Boraz 10. Monica Enriquez led Schreiner with 13 and Melanie Bluhm added 12. DePauw outrebounded Schreiner, 46-32, and nailed 5-of-10 three-pointers.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, December 5 when they travel to second-ranked Oglethorpe in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both schools.
