February 21, 2009, West Lafayette, Ind. — DePauw junior Lauren Reich competed in the Boilermaker Invitational at Purdue's Lambert Fieldhouse and placed third in the one-mile run.
Reich's time of 4:58.33 broke the DePauw school record of 4:59.51 held by Natalie Shaffer and established on March 8, 2003. The time was also an NCAA Division III provisional time which improved upon her previous provisional time of 5:04.70 set at last week's DePauw Invitational.
DePauw totaled 130 points and claimed the team title at the DePauw Indoor Classic at the James A. Hollensteiner Track in the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center
