March 21, 2009, Minneapolis, Minn. — On the final evening of NCAA Division III Championships competition, Tiger swimmers added to their list of all-America performances as John Cook earned the distinction in the 100-yard freestyle as did the 400 free relay.
Cook finished fifth in the finals of the 100 free in 44.45 seconds which was just .05 seconds off his school record performance in the prelims. He finished the meet with six all-America honors which lifted his career total to 12.
The 400 free relay of Cook, John Montgomery, Josh Baugh and Steve Klabak placed seventh in the finals in 3:02.32 to earn all-America honors. They broke their own school record in the prelims with a time of 3:01.73.
DePauw totaled 92 points and finished tied for 12th place with Kalamazoo College.
