September 1, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw and 16th-ranked Chicago battled to a 1-1 tie through the first 45 minutes, but the visiting Maroons scored early in the second half and took a 2-1 win at Boswell Field.
Chicago's Katie Klamann scored at 21:51 on Brooke Bontz's assist before DePauw's Stephanie Patton knotted the contest with an unassisted goal at 32:17. Sarah Loh then delivered the game-winner at 53:50.
The Maroons outshot the Tigers 12-6, but DePauw had two corners to Chicago's one. Caroline Kerr totaled three saves for DePauw, while Chicago's Emma Gormley had two.
DePauw travels to the Bob Baptista Invitational at Wheaton (Ill.) College where they'll face 11th-ranked Puget Sound on Friday and 21st-ranked Carleton on Saturday.
