September 4, 2009, Wheaton, Ill. — DePauw slipped to 0-2 on the season following a 4-0 loss to 11th-ranked Puget Sound at Wheaton College's Bob Baptista Invitational.
The Loggers scored a pair of goals in each half as Kelly Anderson led with a pair. Janece Levien scored one and assisted on two, while Christine Isabella scored the final goal. Jenny Moore and Melissa Abellanida added one assist each.
Puget Sound outshot DePauw 28-11 and held a 7-2 edge in corners. Caroline Kerr and Lauren Palfrey each allowed two goals in splitting time in goal, while Kallie Wolfer and Katie Wheeler combined for the shuotut.
DePauw faces 21st-ranked Carleton on Saturday.
DePauw and 16th-ranked Chicago battled to a 1-1 tie through the first 45 minutes, but the visiting Maroons scored early in the second half and took a 2-1 win at Boswell Field
