September 12, 2009, Terre Haute, Ind. — DePauw won its opening three matches at the Rose-Hulman Invitational to extend its best start in school history to eight straight wins, but dropped the final match and now stands at 8-1 on the season.
On Friday, the Tigers topped Eureka 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-15 and then defeated Aurora 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-17).
In Saturday's action DePauw opened with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-17) victory over Blackburn before Lincoln Christian handed the Tigers their first loss of the season by a 3-1 score (26-24, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20).
