September 23, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Host DePauw scored twice in the first half and improved to 4-4 with a 2-0 win over Bellarmine. The Knights dropped to 5-5 with the loss.
Addie McDonnell (pictured) delivered an unassisted goal at 5:20, while Sarah Riffle slammed in the second at 32:50 with an assist from Lauren Castagno.
Bellarmine held a 17-11 edge in shots including a 14-3 margin in the second half. The Knights also led in corners, 10-5.
Liz Attewell recorded her third shutout of the season for the Tigers and totaled five saves. Katie Lange had a pair of saves for Bellarmine.
DePauw returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Sewanee.
