September 25, 2009, Sewanee, Tenn. — DePauw and Sewanee squared off in the first Southern Collegiate Athletic Confenence game for both schools and the teams battling to a scoreless tie after two overtimes. DePauw is now 1-4-3 overall, while Sewanee is 4-0-1.
DePauw held a 12-8 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in corners. Lauren Palfrey recorded one save in the opening half, while Caroline Kerr saved two in playing the final 65 minutes. Britt Williams totaled six saves for Sewanee's shutout.
The Tigers travel to Oglethorpe on Sunday.
