October 4, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Beau Sorg's goal off a free kick at 63:47 was the difference in DePauw's 1-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Austin.
DePauw improved to 6-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the SCAC, while the Kangaroos dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The Tigers held a 25-10 advantage in shots and a 5-2 margin in corners. Ted Jacobi recorded the shutout in goal for DePauw with seven saves, while Grant Gosselin had five saves for Austin.
DePauw returns to SCAC action on Friday, October 9, when it travels to Hendrix for a 6 p.m. CDT contest.
