October 4, 2009, Greencastle, Ind. — Visiting Austin scored once in each half and claimed a 2-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 3-5-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the SCAC, while the Kangaroos improved to 6-4-1 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Ali Ryan scored on an assist from Emma Treu at 29:43 before Shelley Casey made it 2-0 at 46:44 with an unassisted score.
DePauw held a 17-9 shots advantage and led 2-1 in corners. Lauren Palfrey recorded two first-half saves for the Tigers, while Caroline Kerr had one in the second. Kaitlin Elledge totaled five saves in recording the shutout for the Kangaroos.
The Tigers travel to Hendrix on Friday, October 9 for an SCAC contest.
