October 10, 2009, Terre Haute, Ind. — DePauw co-hosted the Gibson Family Cross Country Invitational and finished 11th among the 22 schools overall and fifth among the 14 Division III schools.
The Tigers totaled 269 points while Shawnee Sate won with 47 and Purdue was second with 89. Heidelberg was the top Division III school in fifth-place with 184 points..
Eric Hawley led the Tigers in 26:37 followed by Joe Evans in 26:42 and Pete Richard in 26:56. Noah Droddy covered the course, while Tyler Giesting finished in 27:23.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 17, when it competes in the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational.
