October 11, 2009, Lexington, Ky. — DePauw improved to 8-5 on the season following a 2-1 win at Transylvania. The Pioneers dropped to 0-9 with the loss.
Lauren Castagno scored at 15:45 before Addie McDonnell added the second goal at 48:17. Annie Donelan scored Transylvania's only goal at 57:42 on Whitney Mitchell's assist.
DePauw outshot Transylvania, 24-5, and held a 12-4 edge in penalty corners. Liz Attewell had two saves in goal for the Tigers, while Alyssa Alfaro totaled 16 for the Pioneers.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, October 17, when they travel to Oberlin.
