Tigers drop doubleheader to
Indianapolis
DePauw concluded the season with
a doubleheader loss to visiting University of Indianapolis by scores of
8-1 and 5-0. Vicki Sharp had two hits in game one to lead the Tiger
attack.

Moord and Enyart sweep SCAC Player of
the Week honors
Senior centerfielder Kylie Moord
and sophomore pitcher Hillary Enyart have been named the
Southern Collegiate Athletic
Conference Players of the Week. Moord was selected as offensive player
of the week and Enyart as pitcher of the week. Moord hit .615 (8-13) for
the week with three doubles, two homers, four runs and seven RBI. She
currently leads the SCAC in hitting at .443.
Enyart went 2-2 in
four games with a 2.42 ERA including a four-hit shutout over Rose-Hulman.
She also hit .429 (6-14) for the week.

Tigers finish SCAC play with
doubleheader split
DePauw completed Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a doubleheader split at Rose-Hulman.
Hillary Enyart pitched a four-hit shutout in the first game as the Tigers
won 2-0. Kylie Moord drove in both runs with a single in the third and her
third homer of the season in the sixth. The Tigers dropped the nightcap by
a 6-0 score as they managed just two hits.

DePauw splits doubleheader at Rose-Hulman
The Tigers dropped the first game
of a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Rose-Hulman
by a 6-2 score, but came back with 17 hits in the nightcap for an 8-3
victory. Kylie Moord went four-for-four in the second game including a
solo homer in the first. Hillary Enyart picked up the win and collected
three hits as did Ashley Sewell and Vicki Sharp.

The Tigers won the first game of
a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader by a 6-3 score, but
dropped the nightcap 7-1.

Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Sewanee by scores
of 1-0 and 4-1.

Tigers split with Franklin
The Tigers dropped game one of a
doubleheader with visiting Franklin by a 5-1 score, but came back to notch
a 6-4 win in the nightcap. Angela Keslin picked up her first win of the
season as she allowed three unearned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Nicole Kernan,
Kylie Moord, Ashley Sewell and Vicki Sharp each collected two hits in game
two.

DePauw drops doubleheader to Centre
The Tigers lost both ends of a
Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader to visiting Centre by
scores of 16-5 and 6-5. In the first game, DePauw led 5-4 after two
innings but the Colonels scored 11 unanswered runs. Nicole Kernan and
Kylie Moord each had three hits for DePauw. In the nightcap, DePauw led
5-4 after four, but the Colonels scored twice in the fifth and held on for
the victory. Vicki Sharp collected three hits for the Tigers.

Tigers open SCAC play with split
against Centre
DePauw began Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference play with a doubleheader split against visiting
Centre. The Tigers won the first game by a 6-1 count as Hillary Enyart
pitched a four-hitter and allowed just one unearned run. DePauw collected
13 hits in the nightcap, but Centre rallied from deficits of 4-0 and 6-4
to take a 7-6 victory. Ashley Sewell had four hits in the doubleheader.

The Tigers fell to 1-13 on the
season after losing a doubleheader to visiting Anderson by scores of 5-3
and 9-5. Kylie Moord went eight-for-eight at the plate in the twinbill to
lead the Tigers.

Sewell named SCAC Player of the Week
Freshman catcher Ashley Sewell
was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week in the Tigers' opening
weekend of play. Sewell went three-for-six at the plate with two doubles
and four RBI in DePauw's split with Hanover.

Tigers split season-opening twinbill
The Tigers opened the 2003 season
with a doubleheader split with visiting Hanover. The Tigers won the first
game 4-0 and dropped the nightcap 5-2.

Skrenta named head softball
coach
Bonnie Skrenta, a
2000 Providence College graduate, has been named DePauw University's
head softball coach. She replaces Deb Zellers who remains at DePauw to
coach the volleyball team.
