GREENCASTLE, IND. - It was back to business as usual for the DePauw Tigers on Saturday as they played perhaps their best all-around game of the season in blowing out Anderson 84-40 at the Neal Fieldhouse.
The Tigers only trailed in the early stages of the contest before pulling away to a 42-26 halftime lead. The Tigers connected on 50 percent of their field goal tries in the first 20 minutes.
The second half saw the Tigers smother the Ravens by a 42-14 margin as Anderson could muster just 22 percent shooting in the half. The Tigers gained total control of the boards as they outrebounded the visitors 31-12 in the half.
Susan Bender led the Tigers with 17, while Kelly Morrison
added 12 first-half points and Ann Hall followed with 11. Dona Haskett grabbed
nine rebounds including six on the offensive glass. Kandy Trehearne led Anderson
with 13 points and nine boards and Tosha Broyles added 12 points.
The Tigers improve to 14-3 on the season and 3-1 in ICAC play, while Anderson fell to 5-11 and 1-3. The Tigers travel to Manchester on Tuesday to face the always-strong Spartans in a 7 p.m. contest.
