DePauw tops Manchester
in ICAC title game, 76-62
On the strength of tournament MVP Kelly Bailey's
career high 16 points and 17 rebounds, the Tigers topped
Manchester 76-62 to capture the ICAC Women's Basketball
Championship tournament.
Semifinals
DePauw and Manchester will meet at 3 p.m. on Saturday
at DePauw's Neal Fieldhouse to decide the winner of the
1998 ICAC Women's Basketball Championship tournament.
Manchester topped Hanover 70-60
in Friday's first semifinal game, while
DePauw defeated Anderson, 76-44
in
the second contest.
First Round
The second annual ICAC Women's Basketball Championship
tipped off on Thursday and the higher seeded teams were
victorious on their home courts.
Hanover
topped Rose-Hulman 74-42 and
Anderson
defeated Franklin 86-75 in first round games.
The tournament comes to DePauw on Friday as number-two
seed Manchester takes on Hanover at 6 p.m. and top-seed
DePauw hosts Anderson. The semifinals are a replay of
last year's tournament.
The championship game is slated for Saturday at 3 p.m.
