Natalie Shaffer placed third in 22:04 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships. The Tigers finished eighth among the 33-team field. Katy Quirk was 17th in 23:09, while Lindsay Bruick was 50th in 23:59. Official Championships site

Tigers finish third at SCAC Championships; Shaffer wins individual title
Natalie Shaffer took first at the 2002 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships with the second-fastest time in conference history at 18:28 which was 16 seconds faster than defending champion Amy Paine of Rhodes. Shaffer was the Tigers' first SCAC individual champion. The Tigers placed third as a team behind Rhodes and Trinity. Also earning all-conference honors were Katy Quirk with a seventh-place finish in 19:26.74 and Betsy App in 14th place in 19:58.1. Complete results

The Tigers were unable to make it to the Indiana Intercolleigates due to the severe storms that passed through the Bloomington area on Friday afternoon.

DePauw finishes tied for second at GLCA Championships; Shaffer wins individual title
The Tigers totaled 65 points to finished tied with Oberlin in second place at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Championships at Kenyon. Denison won with 51 points. Natalie Shaffer won in a time of 19:04, while Katy Quirk was sixth in 20:21 followed by Lindsay Bruick in 10th at 20:33. Complete Results

DePauw wins Wabash Hokum Karem
With just nine points to runner-up Indianapolis' 12, the Tigers won the Wabash Hokum Karem. The team of Erin Toth and Natalie Shaffer won in 23:09 followed by Katy Quirk and Lindsay Bruick in second at 23:59.

Tigers win Grizzly Invitational
The Tigers took seven of the top 12 places to win the Grizzly Invitational hosted by Franklin College. DePauw finished with 28 points followed by Hanover with 48 and Franklin with 54. Natalie Shaffer won in a course-record time of 18:27. Lauren Hendrix was third in 19:11 and Lindsay Bruick was fifth in 19:26.
