Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw women's golf team is one of 10 Division III schools invited to the NCAA Championships to be contested May 14-17 at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. Mount Holyoke College is the host of the four-round tournament.
DePauw, ranked fifth in Division III according to Golfstat, is making its first appearance in the Division III Championships since they began in 1996.
Coach Vince Lazar's lineup includes sophomores Jessica Schneider (Elgin, Ill./Larkin) and Deborah Garriott (Marion, Ind./Marion) and freshmen Lindsay Amore (Mooresville, Ind./Mooresville), Audra Butts (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) and Mandy Levy (Burr Ridge, Ill./Hinsdale South).
The Tigers did compete in five Division III Championships, sponsored by the National Golf Coaches' Association, from 1988 to 1992. In those tournaments DePauw finished second in 1991, third in 1989, 1990 and 1992 and fourth in 1988.
