tournament with a 3-0 first-round home win over Capital before knocking
off second-ranked Ohio Wesleyan in the Great Lakes Region semifinals, 1-0.
They then lost to Wheaton (Ill.) in the regional finals by a 1-0 score. John Carroll earned the Ohio Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the
Championship by winning the OAC tournament. After finishing the regular
season in a tie for second, the Blue Streaks defeated Otterbein by a 2-0
score in the semifinals and then topped regular-season champion
Wilmington, 2-1, in three overtimes in Saturday's championship game. John
Carroll enters the tournament on a four-game win streak. The Blue Streaks
are making their first NCAA tournament appearance. The winner of Wednesday's game advance to the Great Lakes Regional
