Reis finishes 34th in Division III in 200 back
Freshman Katie Reis completed her third day of competition at the NCAA Division III Championships at Emory University in Atlanta and placed 34th in the 200 backstroke in 2:20.28. In Friday's prelims, she finished 35th in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.99 and on Thursday, she placed 56th in the 200 IM in 2:24.11.

Tigers finish third at SCAC Championships

Tigers defeat St. Mary's, lose close battle against Kalamazoo
The Tiger women split their meets versus Kalamazoo and St. Mary's. The Tigers topped St. Mary's by a final score of 66-44, but fell to Kalamazoo, 60-53. Liv Sonstegard, Martha Ellen Talyor and Hillie Gaither led the way for the Tigers. Sonstegard took first in the 50 freestyle, Talyor swam to a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly and Gaither won the 100 backstroke.

Tigers beat Illinois Wesleyan, 146-141, to improve to 7-2
Freshman swimmers Hillie Gaither and Julie Culbertson each won two individual events to lead the Tigers to a 146-141 victory over Illinois Wesleyan. Gaither took top honors in both the 100 and 200 backstroke while Culbertson took first in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Other individual winners included Anna Riefe, Martha Ellen Talyor, and Gina James. The women came from behind to win behind the strength of Riefe and James, who sealed the victory in diving competition. RESULTS
