DePauw finishes 19th at Division III Championships
On the final day of competition at the Division III Championships in Oxford, Ohio, Katie Reis earned all-America honors in the 200 back with an eighth-place finish in 2:11.36 and Amy Beth Allen garnered honorable mention in 12th place with a time of 2:07.64. The Tigers finished in a tie for 19th place at the Championships.

Tigers in 19th place after day two
DePauw is in 19th place at the NCAA Division III Championships in Oxford, Ohio. In Friday's finals, Katie Reis earned all-America honors for the third time in two years with a seventh place finish in the 100 back in 58.41 seconds. Amy Beth Allen earned honorable mention all-America with a ninth-place showing in the 100 fly in a school-record 57.53 seconds. The 200 medley relay of Reis, Julie Culbertson, Allen and Denise Vidas finished 11th in a school-record time of 1:49.24.

Medley relay earns spot in finals
The 400 medley relay of Katie Reis, Julie Culbertson, Amy Beth Allen and Denise Vidas placed eighth in prelims in a school-record time of 3:57.79. That finished earned them a spot in Thursday's finals where they were disqualified.

Tigers place third at SCAC Championships
DePauw's Amy Beth Allen was named the SCAC co-Female Swimmer of the Year and Sarah Eiler was chosen the Diver of the Year at the 2002 SCAC Championships. DePauw finished third with 738 points behind Trinity's 951 and Sewanee's 786.5. Complete wrapup with results

DePauw in third after first day at SCAC Championships
Freshmen Amy Beth Allen and Sarah Eiler picked up first-place finishes in the 200 individual medley and one-meter diving to lead the Tigers to third place after the first day of competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Sewanee. Allen won in 2:13.82 and Eiler finished with 321.2 points. The Tigers finished the first day with 244 points behind co-leaders Trinity and Sewanee with 255 points apiece.

DePauw's 200 free relay of Katie Beehler, Katie Payne, Allen, and Denise Vidas earned all-SCAC honors with a second-place showing in 1:39.92 as did the 400 medley relay of Katie Reis, Julie Culbertson, Allen and Vidas with a second-place showing in 4:01.94. Erin Schramm placed second in the 500 free in 5:16.52, while Reis was third in the 200 IM in 2:15.75 and Payne was third in the 50 free in 25.03. Complete results available from host Sewanee

Tigers finish dual meet portion of schedule with 131-58 win at Rose-Hulman

DePauw places third at Washington Invitational
The Tigers finished third at the Washington (Mo.) Invitational with 753 points behind Nebraska-Omaha's 985 and Washington's 867. Results

Tigers move to 8-2 with wins over Illinois Wesleyan and Vincennes
DePauw defeated Illinois Wesleyan 131-91 and Vincennes 189-18 to improve to 8-2 on the season. Amy Beth Allen took firsts in the 200 IM (2:14.66) and the 100 fly (59.58), while Sarah Eiler won on both the one- and three-meter boards. Also winning were Denise Vidas (200 free; 2:01.71), Katie Payne (50 free; 25.91), Katie Beehler (100 back; 1:03.25) and Katie Reis (500 free; 5:26.02). The 200 medley relay also won in 1:53.15. Eiler sweeps diving at Wabash Invitational
Sarah Eiler won both the one- and three-meter diving competition at the Wabash Invitational. She finished with 369.65 points on the three-meter board and 337.75 on the one-meter.

DePauw improves to 6-2 with sweep of Millikin and Centre
The Tigers raised their season record to 6-2 with a 126-62 victory over Millikin and a 141-45 win over Centre at the Erdmann Natatorium. Complete results

Tigers win DePauw Invitational
With the third-highest point total in DePauw Invitational, the Tigers captured their first title in the meet since 1996. DePauw won the close battle with Washington University, 805.5-789. Complete results

Eiler wins one-meter at Wabash; finishes third in three-meter
 Sarah Eiler finished first in one-meter diving at the Wabash Diving Invitational with a score of 343.65. She also placed third on the three-meter board with a score of 346.65.

DePauw placed third at the Wabash Invitational at IUPUI and were led by the 200 medley relay (Katie Reis, Julie Culbertson, Amy Beth Allen and Denise Vidas) which finished in a school-record and NCAA "B" cut time of 1:50.04. That time also established an all-time SCAC record. Allen made a "B" cut in the 200 back in 2:10.61 and Sarah Eiler was named the Diver of the Meet. Complete results

DePauw tops Wheaton by winning final event by .07 seconds
It all came down to the 200 free relay in DePauw's meet with Wheaton and the Tigers won the event by .07 seconds to take the meet by a 116-107 score. DePauw's team of Denise Vidas, Katie Beehler, Amy Beth Allen and Katie Payne finished in 1:40.81 which was just in front of Wheaton's 1:40.88. Earning individual firsts for the Tigers were Vidas (50 free; 25.40), Allen (100 fly; 1:00.28), Erin Schramm (500 free; 5:24.40), Julie Culbertson (100 breast; 1:09.69) and Sarah Eiler (3-meter diving; 197.75 points). Tigers lose at Indianapolis
Freshman Amy Allen broke her own school record in the 200 IM, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers lost at the University of Indianapolis by a 168-66 score. Results

Tigers lose first meet of season; Allen makes another "B" cut
DePauw lost for the first time in the 2001-02 season as it dropped a 123-118 decision to host Washington (Mo.) University. Amy Allen swam an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:12.30 in the 200 fly. Complete Results

DePauw improves to 3-0 with win over Sewanee
The Tigers defeated visiting Sewanee 135-95 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Amy Allen broke the school record in the 200 IM in 2:13.18. Complete results

Tigers improve to 2-0 on the season with narrow win at Hope
DePauw completed a weekend sweep in Michigan with a 122-115 win at Hope. Earning first-place finishes for the Tigers were Amy Allen (200 IM, 2:14.35), Sarah Eiler (1-meter diving, 221.60), Denise Vidas (100 free, 55.76), Katie Beehler (200 back, 2:16.76) and Julie Culbertson (200 breast, 2:32.14). The 400 medley relay won in a time of 5:18.94.

DePauw opens with win at Kalamazoo
The Tigers opened the season with a 125-61 win at Kalamazoo and were led by Amy Allen's school-record swim in the 100 fly in 58.97. Two Tigers won two events each including Julie Culbertson (200 IM, 100 breast) and Erin Schramm (200 free, 500 free).
