The fourth-seeded Tigers defeated Southwestern by a 6-3 score in their first match at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship in Jackson, Miss. DePauw advanced to the semifinals to face top-seeded Trinity on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. Match results

Tigers drop three home matches
DePauw slipped to 9-11 on the season after losing three weekend home matches. The Tigers lost a 7-2 match to Wheaton, a 5-2 decision to St. Mary's (Ind.) and 5-4 to Carthage.

DePauw wins one of three matches at GLCA
DePauw lost to Kenyon 7-2 and defeated Wooster 5-0 before losing to Oberlin by a 5-2 count in matches played at Kenyon.

Tigers take 5-3 record into spring break trip

DePauw players compete at ITA Regional
DePauw players finished with a 5-2 doubles record and a 6-7 singles record at the ITA Regional at Wittenberg. Kristin Gieseke and Katherine Nicolson advanced to the doubles semifinals before losing to Denison's Allison Lesnett and Meredith Sulser. The duo had won three matches prior to that. Kodie Bonebrake and Kristin Campbell won their first two doubles matches before falling in the quarterfinals. In singles play, Gieseke won her opening two matches before falling in the round of 16 to eventual runner-up Emily Figel of Wittenberg 6-3, 6-3.

Tigers win Franklin Invitational
DePauw finished with 28 points to runners-up Franklin and Indiana-Southeast which had 27 each to win the Franklin College Invitational. DePauw won the number two and six singles flights as well as number two doubles.

DePauw tops Indianapolis
In the season opening match, the Tigers took four of the six singles matches and two of three doubles to take a 6-3 win over visiting University of Indianapolis. Match results

Tigers ranked 22nd in final Division III poll
DePauw finished the 2000-01 season ranked 22nd in the final NCAA Division III poll and were ranked sixth in the Central Region. Individually, Haley Heathman finished the year as the 20th ranked singles player. Complete rankings
