Tigers dominate regional rankings; near top of final national rankings
In the final national poll released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the Tigers were ranked sixth in NCAA Division III play and first in the central region. Individually, Haley Heathman finished the year ranked sixth in the nation in singles, while Liz Bondi was eighth. Heathman and Bondi were ranked first and second, respectively, in the region in singles. The doubles team of Heathman and Bondi finished the year ranked second in the nation and first in the region. Bondi was earlier selected as the Division III Player to Watch in just her first season of collegiate tennis.

Heathman and Bondi fall in national championship match
The fourth-seeded doubles team of senior Haley Heathman and freshman Liz Bondi, who was named last week as the national player to watch by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, defeated the top-seeded team of Lindsay Hagerman and Erika Proko of Washington & Lee 7-6 (4), 6-4 this afternoon to advance to the Division III doubles championship against second-seeded Mary Ellen Gordon and Jolyn Taylor of Emory. The tandem then lost to the Emory team in the national title match by a 6-3, 6-2 score. Heathman and Bondi finished the season with a 35-4 record with two of those losses coming to Gordon and Taylor and the loss snapped a 23-match win streak for the DePauw duo. Heathman and Bondi advance to national doubles semifinals; each falls in singles quarterfinals
Senior Haley Heathman and freshman Liz Bondi, seeded fourth in the NCAA Division III doubles championship, advanced to the national semifinals after defeating Stephanie Hall and Kate Troy of Williams 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. The duo is 34-3 on the season and has won 22 straight matches and will face the top-seeded team of Lindsay Hagerman and Erika Proko of Washington & Lee at Noon PDT on Monday in Redlands, Calif.

Heathman, seeded fourth in singles play, fell to Washington & Lee's Erika Proko by a 7-5, 7-5 score. She finished the season with a 37-6 singles record this season. Bondi's streak of 22 straight singles wins came to an end as she fell to third-seeded Jolyn Taylor of Emory 3-6, 0-6. Bondi finished the season with a 37-4 record with two of her three Division III losses coming to Taylor and the other at the hands of teammate and senior Haley Heathman at the fall ITA regional final. Heathman and Bondi each win two matches to advance to NCAA singles quarterfinals; duo also moves to doubles quarterfinals
Senior Haley Heathman, seeded fourth in the nation, and freshman Liz Bondi both advanced to the NCAA Division III singles quarterfinals in Redlands, Calif., with two wins each in the first and second rounds. Heathman defeated Anjani Reddy of Swarthmore by a 6-4, 6-1 score and then knocked off Kelly Howard of Pomona-Pitzer 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in the second round. She will face Erika Proko of Washington & Lee in the quarterfinals on Sunday. Bondi defeated Amherst's Tristan Hedrick in three sets (6-2, 4-6, 6-2) in her first round match and then knocked off seventh-seeded Becca Dutton of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps by a 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 score. She will face third-seeded Jolyn Taylor of Emory in Sunday's quarterfinal. Heathman and Bondi, seeded fourth in the doubles draw, defeated Rebecca Hunau and Lisa Novajorsky of Cal Lutheran in the first round and face Stephanie Hall and Kate Troy of Williams in the quarterfinals. DePauw drops 5-4 decision to Amherst in NCAA Quarterfinals
The sixth-ranked Tigers' record season came to an end at the NCAA Quarterfinals in Redlands, Calif., as they dropped a 5-4 decision to fourth-ranked Amherst College. Haley Heathman and Liz Bondi teamed up for a win at number one doubles and then came back to win at first and second singles, respectively. Kristin Gieseke picked up the Tigers' other point at fifth singles.

DePauw finishes with a 25-4 record, but Heathman and Bondi will continue their seasons in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships beginning Saturday Heathman and Bondi improved to 32-3 on the season and enter the doubles championship with a 20-match win streak. Tigers to face Amherst in national quarterfinals; Heathman and Bondi selected as individuals
The NCAA Division III quarterfinal draw has been announced and DePauw will face Amherst College in the third of four matches on Wednesday, May 14, at the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. PDT. Senior Haley Heathman and freshman Liz Bondi have been selected to compete in the 32-player singles field, while Heathman and Bondi have been chosen as a doubles team. Regional honors for two DePauw players and coach
DePauw senior Haley Heathman has been named the Central Region Senior Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and freshman Liz Bondi has been selected as the region's Player to Watch. Heathman is currently ranked fourth in Division III singles and number one in the Central Region, while Bondi was ranked 16th in the country and fourth in the region. As a doubles team, Bondi and Heathman are number one in the region and fourth in the nation. DePauw head coach Scott Riggle was selected at the Central Region Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to a 25-3 record after a 10-13 record a year ago. Tigers advance to NCAA quarterfinals with a 6-3 win over Washington University
Sixth-ranked DePauw defeated ninth-ranked Washington (Mo.) in an NCAA Division III second-round match to advance to the national quarterfinals. MORE

DePauw tops Albion 7-2; Washington beats Denison 7-2
DePauw captured its first-ever NCAA Championship victory with a 7-2 win over Albion in the first round of the Division III Championships at the Blackstock Courts. The Tigers won all three doubles matches and then came away with wins at first, second, third and fifth singles. Washington (Mo.) defeated Denison in the second match by a 7-2 score. DePauw and Washington meet at Noon on Sunday, May 4, for the right to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals.  MATCH SCORES

Tigers to host first and second round of NCAA Championships
Sixth-ranked DePauw serves as host for the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis first and second round matches this Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4. DePauw will face 19th-ranked Albion on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 15th-ranked Denison will take on ninth-ranked Washington (Mo.) at 2 p.m. The winners will meet on Sunday at Noon. DePauw falls to Trinity in SCAC title match
The sixth-ranked Tigers slipped to 23-3 on the season after losing to Trinity by a 6-3 score in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship match at Rose-Hulman. The defeat snapped a 16-match DePauw win streak. The fourth-ranked doubles team of Haley Heathman and Liz Bondi picked up a point with an 8-1 doubles win. Sixth-ranked Tigers defeat eighth-ranked Rhodes; face third-ranked Trinity in SCAC final
DePauw, ranked sixth in Division III, improved to 23-2 on the season with a 6-3 win over eighth-ranked Rhodes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference semifinals. In the Rhodes match, The Tigers won at first and third doubles and then at first, second, fourth and sixth singles. Haley Heathman, ranked fourth in Division III singles, defeated eighth-ranked Stephanie Gong 6-3, 6-3, while 12th-ranked Liz Bondi won over Laura Hoffmeister 6-3, 7-5. Heathman and Bondi, ranked fourth in the nation in doubles, beat the 24th-ranked team of Hoffmeister and Hennessy Howell 8-5. MATCH RESULTS

Tigers advance to SCAC semifinals with win over Hendrix

Sixth-ranked Tigers win two; set single-season win record
Sixth-ranked DePauw improved to 21-2 on the season with a 7-2 win over Wheaton and an 8-1 victory over 25th ranked Carthage at the Blackstock Courts. The 21 wins broke the DePauw single-season mark of 20 set by both the 1990 and 1995 teams. WHEATON RESULTS | CARTHAGE RESULTS

Tigers seeded second at SCAC Championship
DePauw, ranked sixth in Division III, is seeded second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Rose-Hulman. The Tigers open play at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Terre Haute's Rea Park against the winner of that morning's Hendrix-Oglethorpe match. HOST SITE INFORMATION

Times have been changed for this Saturday's matches. The match with Wheaton will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the match with Carthage will begin one hour following completion  of the morning match.

DePauw ranked sixth in Division III and first in region
The 19-2 Tigers are ranked sixth in Division III by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in the mid-spring rankings released today and first in the central region. Among the Tigers' 19 wins this season, five have come against top 25 Division III teams. Their only Division III defeat came at top-ranked Emory. Haley Heathman is ranked first in the central region in singles, while Liz Bondi is fourth. The doubles team of Heathman and Bondi also top the region's rankings, while Jill Anderson and Alex Nelson are ninth.

Tigers win Midwest Invitational
The Tigers, tied for 12th in the Division III rankings, improved to 19-2 overall by winning all three matches at the Midwest Invitational in Madison, Wis. The 19 victories is just one shy of tying the school record of 20 set in 1990 and 1995. DePauw opened with a 9-0 win over St. Catharine before knocking off 12th-ranked Denison by a 6-3 score and fifth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus in the title match. ST. Tigers sweep three matches at GLCA Championships
DePauw improved to 16-2 on the season with three wins at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Championships hosted by Albion College. The Tigers defeated Oberlin 5-1 in the opening match. DePauw, tied for 12th in Division III, then faced 12th-ranked Denison and won by a 5-3 count. The Tigers rounded out play with a 6-0 win over Kalamazoo. Tigers blank Rose-Hulman to improve to 13-2
DePauw, ranked 12th in Division III, defeated host Rose-Hulman 9-0 to improve to 13-2 on the season. The Tigers lost just six games in doubles play and won the six singles flights in straight sets. MATCH RESULTS

DePauw wins final three matches to move to 12-2
The 12th-ranked Tigers improved to 12-2 on the season with three more wins on the spring break trip. The Tigers defeated Wisconsin-Whitewater 8-1 and blanked Carnegie Mellon and Savannah Art & Design by 9-0 scores. Match results are available through the schedule/results page.

Tigers improve to 9-2 with two wins
The Tigers defeated Luther by a 7-2 score and then blanked St. Thomas, 9-0, to improve to 9-2 on the season.

12th-ranked Tigers fall to top-ranked Emory

12th-ranked DePauw moves to 7-1 with Sunday sweep
The Tigers improved to 7-1 on the season with a pair of wins at the Blackstock Courts. DePauw, ranked 12th in Division III, blanked Beloit 9-0 and then beat 10th-ranked Washington (Mo.) 5-4. In the Beloit match, third-ranked Haley Heathman defeated fourth-ranked Julia Lebedeva 6-1, 6-2. The Washington match came down to number one singles and Heathman won 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. DePauw posts two wins in opening weekend of the spring season
The Tigers began the spring season with two wins in three matches as they opened with an 8-1 loss to Division I Indiana State and then came back with a 9-0 victory over Hope and a 5-4 win over Division I Dayton.

Tigers ranked tied for 12th in Division III; several players ranked in singles and doubles
In the final fall rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, DePauw is tied for 12th in Division III. Haley Heathman is ranked third in singles, while Liz Bondi is 12th. In doubles play, Heathman and Bondi are ranked 13th, while the duo of Jill Anderson and Alex Nelson are 17th.

Heathman finishes fifth at national tournament
Senior Haley Heathman placed fifth in singles at the Omni Hotels/ITA Small College National Championship in Corpus Christi. Heathman opened with a three-set loss in the quarterfinals to second-seed and eventual champion Mary Ellen Gordon of Emory (
3-6, 6-2, 6-4). She then came back in the back draw to defeat Cheryl Hickey of the U.S. Coast Guard 6-2, 6-4 and Katie Frick of UC-Santa Cruz 6-0, 6-7 (2), 6-1 for the fifth-place finish.

Heathman wins all-DePauw singles final; Tigers well represented in regional tourney
Senior Haley Heathman earned a trip to the Omni Hotels/ITA Small College National Championship with a 6-4, 6-4 win over teammate and freshman Liz Bondi in the regional singles final at Wittenberg University. The national tournament takes place in Corpus Christi, Texas, October 17-20.

Heathman, seeded fourth in the 64-player field, knocked off top seed Meghan Clark of Kalamazoo in the semifinals, while Bondi defeated second-seed Lauren Gerlach of Denison. In doubles play, the team of Jill Anderson and Alex Nelson fell to Gerlack and Alison Hughes in the finals by a 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 score. Bondi and Heathman lost to the same duo in the semifinals by 7-5, 0-6, 7-5. Complete results available here.

Tigers knock off previously unbeaten Indianapolis
DePauw opened its match with 12-0 University of Indianapolis by taking all three doubles matches and followed it with wins in three of the six singles flights to take a 6-3 victory over the host Greyhounds.

DePauw wins Franklin Invitational
The Tigers took first out of four teams at the Franklin College Invitational. DePauw finished with 34 points to host Franklin and IU-Southeast which totaled 22 each. Rose-Hulman was fourth with 12.
