Zeke Young graduated from Martinsville High School in 1919, playing on a state tourney basketball team. He was a starting guard in football and track letterman at DePauw for three years as a Rector Scholar. After a stint of coaching at Pendleton he went to Auburn, IN in 1924 as coach of football, basketball and track. His football teams won 142, lost 63 and tied 14 while winning nine conference crowns. His basketball teams won seven sectionals in 12 years and he has endeared himself to that community for his exemplary life.
