Tom Cath is in his 22nd season as men?s tennis coach at DePauw University and is the winningest coach in the program's history with a 333-154 record.
In 2005 and 1995, he was named the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division III Coach of the Year. A 1976 DePauw graduate, Cath earned ITA Midwest Coach of the Year honors in 2005, 2001 and 1995.
His teams have earned trips to the NCAA Division III Championships 14 times, finishing sixth in 2007, eighth in 1990 and 2000 and ninth in 1995 and 2006. Additionally, in 19 of his 22 seasons as coach, DePauw has been represented at the Division III Championships as a team or by individuals.
After graduating from DePauw, Coach Cath earned his Master?s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Ariz. He then worked in commercial banking in Chicago for five years before returning to DePauw.
In addition to his coaching duties, Cath is the University?s Director of Career Services. He is married and has three sons.
