Seniors Jarrett Hunt and Jason Geringer earned spots on the all-SCAC squad, while Tyson Becker, Scott Hamer, Ryan Sipe and John Stephens were honorable mention choices.

Tigers lose to Trinity; eliminated from SCAC tournament

DePauw falls to Anderson at Victory Field

Anderson scored three in the first, two in the third and one in the fourth on the way to a 7-3 win over DePauw at Victory Field in Indianapolis. The Tigers scored three in the sixth. Jarrett Hunt and Jason Geringer each collected two hits in the loss. Hunt tied Steve Spasojevich for the DePauw all-time hits record with 174. Box score

Tigers earn spot in SCAC Tournament with four-game sweep pf Sewanee

DePauw completed a four-game sweep of visiting Sewanee to earn the second seed in the SCAC Eastern Division. DePauw won by scores of 9-5 and 13-2. Game one box | Game two box

DePauw sweeps Sewanee; can clinch SCAC tournament spot with at least a split on Sunday

The Tigers pounded out 26 hits in a doubleheader sweep of visiting Sewanee on Saturday afternoon at Walker Field. DePauw won game one by a 10-6 count and took the nightcap, 11-3. Game one box | Game two box

Tigers seven-game streak comes to end at Franklin

A nine-run second inning by host Franklin sent the Tigers to a 14-8 loss and snapped the Tigers' seven-game win streak. DePauw banged out 14 hits including three each from Jarrett Hunt and Justin Denney. Scott Hamer belted a home run for the Tigers. Box score

DePauw completes weekend sweep of 22nd-ranked Washington

The Tigers banged out 25 hits in the doubleheader and for the second straight day swept 22nd-ranked Washington (Mo.). Behind Tyson Becker's three-hitter the Tigers won the first game 2-1. DePauw rallied for six runs in the seventh and held on in the bottom half of the inning to overcome a 5-4 deficit on the way to a 10-9 win. Game one box | Game two box

Tigers snap Bears' streak and sweep doubleheader

DePauw swept a doubleheader at Washington (Mo.) by scores of 6-4 and 4-2 to move to 14-13 on the season and snap the Bears' eight-game win streak. Washington entered the twinbill with a 24-4 record. Daniel Mack scattered just four hits over six innings of game one to even his record at 3-3, while Justin Denney recorded his third save. Jarrett Hunt and Jeff Bardonaro each had three hits, while John Younger and Bardonaro each drove in a pair. In the nightcap, Jason Lee struck out six in improving to 2-3 with the complete game win. Hunt, Becker earn SCAC Player of the Week honors

Shortstop Jarrett Hunt and pitcher earned SCAC Player of the Week honors for games played April 1-7. Hunt shared the honor with Sewanee's David Tipps. In the Tigers' four games with Rose-Hulman, Hunt collected nine hits in 16 at-bats for a .563 average and banged out six doubles. For the week he hit .500. Becker pitched a five-hit shutout over the Engineers and pitched 16 innings over the week and allowed just 13 hits and struck out 16.

DePauw tops Mount St. Joseph, 4-1
The Tigers improved to 12-13 on the season with a 4-1 win at Mount St. Joseph. Dave Edmonds notched the win with seven innings of four-hit pitching and Justin Denney picked up the save by facing the minimum over two innings. Scott Hamer drove in Jason Geringer in the second and John Stephens had a two-run triple in the seventh and scored on an error of the play. Box Score

Tigers sweep doubleheader with Rose-Hulman

DePauw limited the visiting Engineers to just one run in Sunday's twinbill and swept Rose-Hulman by scores of 8-0 and 6-1 to improve to 11-13 overall and 5-5 in the SCAC. Game one box | Game two box

DePauw and Rose-Hulman split twinbill

DePauw loses to LaGrange, 12-1

Visiting LaGrange scored seven in the second on the way to a 12-1 victory over the Tigers at Walker Field. Box score

Tigers lose at Hanover in extra innings

 

The Tigers battled back from a 5-2 deficit after three to send the game to extra innings, but host Hanover won the game in the bottom of the tenth by a 6-5 score.  Box score

 

Doubleheader at Oglethorpe canceled

The Tigers' Saturday doubleheader at Oglethorpe has been canceled due to heavy rains in Atlanta.

DePauw loses twinbill at Oglethorpe

The Tigers dropped to 8-10 overall and 2-4 in the SCAC after a doubleheader loss at Oglethorpe. The host Stormy Petrels banged out 31 hits in the two games including 19 in the first contest. Game one box | Game two box

Tigers fall at Emory, 8-1

DePauw slipped to 8-8 on the season after losing at Emory by and 8-1 score. Box score

The Tigers scored three in the fifth and one in the sixth on the way to a 4-2 win at Emory. Box score

Tigers' game at Emory postponed one day

DePauw's single-game at Emory, scheduled for March 26, has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled for Wednesday, March 27.

DePauw wins nightcap to earn series split with Colonels

For the second straight day, the Tigers split a doubleheader split at Centre. DePauw lost the opener by a 9-1 score and came back in the nightcap to win, 15-2. The Tigers are 7-7 overall and 2-2 in the SCAC.

Tigers open SCAC with split at Centre

DePauw opened SCAC play with a split at Centre with a 9-4 loss in the first game and a 14-6 win in the nightcap. The Tigers are 6-6 overall and 1-1 in the SCAC.

DePauw tops Franklin, 8-3

Tigers drop pair at Anderson

Jason Lee pitched a one-hitter, but the host Ravens scored an unearned run in the fifth to beat the Tigers, 1-0, in the first game of the doubleheader. DePauw dropped the second game, 9-5.

DePauw splits doubleheader at Greenville

The Tigers lost to host Greenville, 4-0, in the first game of the doubleheader and came back to win 10-6 in the nightcap.

DePauw opens season with loss at Indiana and split with Hope

The Tigers opened the 2002 campaign with a 14-4 loss at Indiana before splitting a doubleheader with Hope. In the twinbill the Tigers won the first game 9-4 and dropped the nightcap 9-1.

Tigers to face Indiana on Thursday, March 7

The single game at Indiana University, originally scheduled for February 27 and rescheduled for March 21 has again been changed and will be played on Thursday, March 7. Game time at 3 p.m. at Sembower Field in Bloomington.

Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of DePauw's doubleheader at Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, March 2.

DePauw's season-opening baseball game at Indiana University has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 21.
