Tigers finish season with win at Transylvania
DePauw finished the season with a 25-19 record after an 8-6 win at Transylvania. Jon Gratz collected three hits, while Kevin Ehinger and Mike Gonzalez each had two. Kerry Frost pitched nine innings in picking up the win. BOX SCORE

DePauw splits doubleheader at Thomas More
DePauw defeated 21st-ranked Thomas More 6-5 in the first game of a doubleheader, but dropped the nightcap by a 6-1 score. Jon Gratz went three-for-three in the first game with a double and homer, while Tyson Becker notched the win and Eric Mattingly picked up the save. Tigers split twinbill with Ravens; Younger drives home game-winner in game two
John Younger's two-out single through the left side in the bottom of the seventh scored pinch-runner Tom Stonebock and gave the Tigers a 5-4 win and a split of their doubleheader with visiting Anderson. Tigers finish third at SCAC Championship
The Tigers played three games in 12 hours and finished third at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Rose-Hulman. DePauw lost to Millsaps 2-1 in the first game of the day, but came back to defeat Rose-Hulman by an 8-2 score before losing to Southwestern 9-7. Tigers knock off 12th-ranked Trinity, 3-2
DePauw opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 3-2, 10-inning win over 12th-ranked Trinity in a game that started Thursday evening, was suspended due to rain and resumed Friday morning. The Tigers took the lead in the top half of the inning when John Stephens led off with a single and advanced to third on Ryan Sipe's single. Kevin Ehinger then delivered a two-out single that scored Stephens. Tyson Becker picked up the win and T.J. Pruzin collected the save. With the win, the Tigers advance to face Millsaps on Friday evening. BOX SCORE

Tigers gain split with Washington
After dropping the first game of a doubleheader with visiting Washington (Mo.) by a 9-1 score, the Tigers took a 13-6 win in the nightcap to earn the split. The Tigers trailed 2-1 after five in the first game, but the Bears scored seven in the sixth to take the win. Mike Gonzalez and Jon Gratz each had two hits for the Tigers. In game two, DePauw opened with nine in the first and never trailed. Ryan Sipe had three hits and drive in three, while Gonzalez, Adrian Norris and Matt Deahl each had a pair. DePauw sweeps series with Wabash
The Tigers completed a three-game sweep of Wabash by winning both ends of a doubleheader by scores of 4-2 and 4-2. Pat Creel picked up the win in the first game, while Zach Harris went 3-for-3 and Adrian Norris collected two hits. In the nightcap, P.J. Mitchell notched the win and T.J. Pruzin picked up the save. Greg DeBeer tied the score at 2-2 in the fourth with a triple that scored Matt Deahl. The Tigers then won it in the seventh as Ryan Sipe and Harris each drove in runs. Tigers win first game of Wabash series
Tyson Becker allowed just one earned run over seven innings as the Tigers defeated visiting Wabash 5-3. DePauw scored two in the fifth on RBI singles by Zach Harris and Kevin Ehinger to break a 3-3 tie. BOX SCORE

DePauw evens series with Engineers after 6-3 win
The Tigers improved to 16-11 overall and 9-5 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 6-3 win at Rose-Hulman. With the win, the Tigers clinched a spot in the six-team SCAC tournament to be held at Rose-Hulman beginning April 24. The Tigers fell behind 1-0 after four, but rallied for four runs in the fifth to take the lead for good. Pat Creel picked up the win and recorded 10 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings, while T.J. Pruzin recorded his third save. Zach Harris led the Tigers with three hits with John Stephens and Matt Deahl each collecting a pair. BOX SCORE

Errors costly in Tigers' loss at Rose-Hulman
Seven errors proved costly for the Tigers in an 11-2 loss at Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Rose-Hulman in the first of a four-game series. Only five of the Engineers' 11 runs were earned, but Rose-Hulman did outhit the Tigers 14-8. The Tigers knotted the score at 2-2 in the fourth after Zach Harris hit a leadoff homer to left and Kevin Ehinger followed with a double and later scored on an infield error. DePauw splits doubleheader with Centre
Pat Creel allowed just one run in pitching the Tigers to an 11-1 win over visiting Center in the first game of a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader. Ryan Sipe collected three hits and drove in two in the win while Matt Deahl added two hits and two RBI. DePauw trailed 1-0 in the first, but scored three in the first, five in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth. In the nightcap, the Colonels scored four in the fifth to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Mike Gonzalez led the Tigers with three hits, while Matt Durham collected four for Centre in addition to pitching the complete game. DePauw is now 15-10 overall and 8-4 in the SCAC. Sipe named SCAC Player of the Week
Sophomore second baseman Ryan Sipe was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance from March 24-30. During that time Sipe went 18-of-29 at the plate for a .621 batting average. He hit four doubles and two homers, both in the first game at Sewanee. He drove in nine runs and scored 12 while stealing three bases. In the previous week, freshman P.J. Mitchell was named the co-Pitcher of the Week in the conference after pitching 15 innings and striking out 14 and allowing just four earned runs.

Tigers top Hanover 14-11
Mike Gonzalez blasted a three-run homer as part of a six-run seventh inning in the Tigers' 14-11 win over visiting Hanover. DePauw totaled 17 hits led by Matt Deahl with four and Zach Harris and Kyle Dobbs with three apiece. Ryan Sipe extended his hit streak to 15 consecutive games with a two-for-four performance. Mitchell tosses one-hitter as Tigers gain series split at Sewanee
Freshman P.J. Mitchell faced just one batter over the minimum in pitching a one-hit shutout over host Sewanee in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action as the Tigers won 13-0. DePauw improved to 12-8 overall and 6-2 in the SCAC. BOX SCORE

Tigers take first of SCAC series at Sewanee
DePauw banged out 23 hits on the way to a 14-9 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Sewanee. Zach Harris collected five hits with Ryan Sipe and Mike Gonzalez each adding four and John Younger three. Sipe drove in four and hit two homers in the win. Dave Edmonds picked up the win and Mark Alson notched the save for the Tigers who improved to 11-6 overall and 5-0 in the SCAC. BOX SCORE

The Tigers sent 21 men to the plate in the top of the third and scored 15 in the inning on the way to a 15-3 win at Rhodes. DePauw banged out 13 hits led by Kevin Ehinger, Adrian Norris and Kyle Dobbs with two each. BOX SCORE

Tigers complete weekend sweep of Oglethorpe
DePauw improved to 8-5 overall and 4-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 5-3 win over Oglethorpe to complete a four-game sweep of the visiting Stormy Petrels. The Tigers scored two in the bottom of the fourth on John Younger's homer off the scoreboard in left and John Stephen's RBI double to take a 4-3 advantage. They added one more in the eighth. P.J. Mitchell won the game with eight innings of work and just two earned runs with eight strikeouts. Stephens collected three hits, while Ryan Sipe and Younger each had a pair. DePauw sweeps SCAC twinbill over Oglethorpe
The Tigers swept a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference twinbill from visiting Oglethorpe by scores of 16-4 and 9-4. Tyson Becker allowed just one earned run in five innings of the first game and Dave Edmonds did the same in the nightcap to notch the wins. Tigers overcome six-run deficit to knock off Butler in home opener

Tuesday game with Butler moved to DePauw; Tigers to play at Indiana on Thursday
The single, nine-inning game originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, at Butler has been moved to Walker Field on the DePauw campus at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have also rescheduled their postponed game with Indiana and it will be played on Thursday, March 13, in Bloomington at 3 p.m.

DePauw picked to share East Division title in SCAC preseason poll
In voting by SCAC head coaches, DePauw was picked to share the conference's East Division title with Oglethorpe. The Tigers earned 20 total points with one first-place vote, while Oglethorpe also totaled 20 points and had two first-place votes.
