Adrian Norris returns to his alma mater to begin his first season as an assistant coach within the DePauw baseball program after spending six seasons at The University of the South – Sewanee.
While at Sewanee, Norris was an assistant baseball and football coach and his duties with these programs required him to manage the recruitment for all baseball student-athletes and direct the recruitment of a particular region for the football team.
In his role with the baseball program he assisted the head coach in all aspects of managing; including the planning and executing of practices, development of off-season strength and conditioning programs, coaching third base during games and calling each pitch.
Additionally, in his football position, Norris was in charge of the wide receiver position, planning practices and running the position meetings. He would also help coordinate the offensive game plan for each game and was responsible for the management of video for all games and practices.
In his playing days, Norris was a four-year varsity letterwinner on the DePauw baseball team, starting for his final three seasons as a catcher. He collected all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference accolades in both his junior and senior seasons en route to accumulating a 77-51 (.602) record over his final three seasons in Greencastle.
A 2006 graduate of DePauw, Norris is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sports management from Indiana State University.
