Swafford Named SCAC Player of the Week

March 16, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw junior catcher Sam Swafford has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Offensive Player of the Week.
In six games last week, Swafford hit .478 (11-23) with an on-base percentage of .520 while tallying a .565 slugging percentage (1.085 OPS). Swafford totaled four runs scored, nine RBI and two doubles on the week as the Tigers posted a 4-2 record.
Swafford hit safely in all six games he played in (five starts) while also driving in at least one run in all six games.
