Three Tigers earn all-SCAC honors

February 25, 2006, Memphis, Tenn. - Three DePauw men's basketball players earned all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in voting by the league's head coaches.
Senior guard Alex Stewart (pictured right)was named to the second team, while sophomore post Stephen Schott was voted third team and freshman guard Mike Moore was an honorable mention choice.
The Tigers' leading scorer at 15.0 points per game, Stewart entered today's SCAC semifinal game at Rhodes needing just one three-point field goal to tie the school career record of 232 set by Troy Greenlee (1987-91). He entered the day as the league's leader with 48.3 percent three-point shooting (which is fifth in Division III) and with 2.88 three-pointers per game. The Plano, Texas, resident earned honorable mention each of the last two seasons.
Schott, an honorable mention selection last season, ranks third in the SCAC in rebounding with 7.4 per contest and is fifth with 56.4 percent field goal shooting. The Indianapolis native ranks 15th in the conference with 71.9 percent free throw shooting.
Moore, an Elkhart, Ind., native leads the SCAC in assists this season with 5.5 per game which also ranks 26th in Division III.
